A New Look for the MX Tilters You Already Know
The original White MX Tilters introduced a simple way to add controlled angles between MX-style switches and keycaps.

Black: Designed to Blend In
The new Black MX Tilters are made for darker keyboard builds.
If your keyboard uses black keycaps, a dark case, or a more understated aesthetic, Black allows the Tilters to blend into the overall design rather than standing out.
The result is a cleaner, more cohesive appearance while maintaining the same functionality.
Clear: A More Subtle Approach
For those who prefer a minimalist look, Clear MX Tilters offer a nearly invisible alternative.
The transparent finish allows the focus to remain on your keycaps, switches, and keyboard case while still providing the same tilting functionality.
It's particularly suited to builds where you want to preserve the original visual character of the keyboard.
Why We Expanded the Lineup
One of the biggest lessons we've learned from the mechanical keyboard community is that customization isn't only about how a keyboard feels.
It's also about how it looks.
Keyboard enthusiasts spend considerable time choosing their switches, keycaps, cases, cables, and other components to create a specific aesthetic.
The Tilters shouldn't have to disrupt that.
That's why Black and Clear were developed to make it easier to integrate MX Tilters into a wider variety of keyboard builds.
Whether you want the Tilters to stand out, blend in, or almost disappear, you now have more options.
Refining the Design
Introducing new finishes also gave us an opportunity to take another close look at the MX Tilter design.
During testing, we found that applying the original design to different materials could result in variations in fit. Some Tilters could fit too loosely, while others could fit too tightly.
Rather than simply changing the material and calling it done, we went back to the design and tested different approaches to improve consistency.
Improving Fit Consistency
We studied how existing switches and keycaps accommodate small manufacturing variations and experimented with different geometries around the Tilter interfaces.
After several iterations, we refined the interference features on the male side of the Tilter to provide a more consistent friction fit.
We also introduced additional internal features on the female side. Because MX Tilters are manufactured differently from conventional injection-molded keycaps, we had more flexibility to incorporate features specifically designed to accommodate small tolerance variations.
The result is a more reliable and consistent fit for the Black and Clear Tilters.
A More User-Friendly Design
While working on fit consistency, we also looked at another part of the experience: removing the Tilters.
The small lip around the Tilter was increased to provide more surface area for your fingers to grip.
This makes it easier to remove a Tilter by hand when changing your configuration or experimenting with different row arrangements.
It's a small refinement, but it makes the modular nature of the system easier to use in practice.
Refined Through Community Feedback
The original MX Tilter release was backed by 282 Kickstarter backers, followed by more than 250 additional kits sold through our website.
Those early users gave us valuable feedback about fit, usability, and how the Tilters worked across different keyboard builds. That experience has helped guide the continued development of the product.
